Adventures in Meat Space

Synaesthetics is going to take part in an event called “Adventures in Meat Space” on Thursday 16th of June. Tim is just back from Greece, where he was intensively partying (a Greek wedding was there) and also composing in a new way, as he claims. It will be all easy to verify anyway. I’ve got my fresh experience with VJing for dance music, that I did during the TEDx after party in Town Hall, so changes to the style seem to be unavoidable. Thursday’s performance will be combined with our talk about the techniques and software we use, as this will be the part of Oxford Adobe User Groups meeting. It’s quite neat talking about making loops and especially about After Effects. This is a really cool piece of software. I have recently acquired a fresh copy of the version CS5.5, which still I haven’t explored enough because of lack of time. It is a very busy season for me, lots of editing, but I’ll get down to exploring the AE CS5.5 as soon as I can. Another guest speaker is Neil C Smith, who is going present his own piece of software he uses for live performance. I am looking forward to seeing his talk.
